God’s response
Psalm 2 from the song book of the Bible is so old
yet so very up to date. I could say very much about it, but better to let God speak:
Why do the nations rage?
Why do the people waste their time in futile
plans?
The Kings of the earth prepare for battle
The rulers plot together against the LORD,
And against His anointed one.
“Let us break their chains “ they cry
“and free ourselves from slavery”
But the one who rules in heaven laughs.
The LORD scoffs at them
Then in anger rebukes them
Terrifying them with His fierce fury.
For the Lord declares:
“I have placed my chosen king on the throne in
Jerusalem, my holy city.
..........................
.............................
Submit to God’s royal Son, or He will become
angry
................................
But what joy for all who find protection in Him.”
This psalm is so true to the events of 2017 and
the final promise of hope in Jesus Christ God’s Son.
Read the psalm through and find rest in what God
has planned. They did in Acts 4 and
likewise for all today.
